Electric Athletics Shine at JAMfest Northern JAM 2026
Electric Athletics delivered an outstanding performance at the Jamfest Northern Jam 2026, held at the iconic Winter Gardens Blackpool at the beginning of March. The competition brought together teams from across the UK for a high-energy weekend of cheerleading excellence, providing the perfect stage for athletes to showcase their skills.
Across the two-day event, all Electric Athletics prep teams took to the floor, demonstrating the results of months of hard work, commitment, and team development. Each performance reflected the programme’s focus on progression, confidence, and strong technical execution.
Leading the way were Fireflies, who delivered a flawless routine to achieve a coveted zero deduction run, earning them an Outstanding recognition. Their performance highlighted the attention to detail and consistency the team has developed throughout the season. Impressively, Fireflies were not alone in their success, with the team also hitting zero — reinforcing the high standards being achieved across the programme.
It was also a podium-worthy weekend for several teams. Little Sparks impressed judges with a confident and energetic routine to secure 3rd place, while Thunder matched that success with another 3rd place finish in their division. Both teams demonstrated strong teamwork and performance quality under pressure.Meanwhile, Bolt and Fusion competed in highly competitive divisions, with both teams achieving 5th place finishes. Their routines showcased excellent effort and determination, contributing to a strong overall showing for Electric Athletics.
Head Coach Becky praised the athletes’ efforts and commitment: "I’m incredibly proud of every athlete who stepped onto that floor this weekend. To see all of our prep teams perform with such confidence and determination is fantastic, and achieving zero deduction routines is a testament to the hard work they’ve put in over the season.
