EA Charge Makes History at the Inaugural AIA Global Tournament in Canada

Electric Athletics’ EA Charge made history this July as the team travelled to Montreal, Canada, to compete at the inaugural Association for International All Star (AIA) Global Tournament.

Taking place from 15–20 July 2026, the landmark event brought together elite All Star cheer and dance teams from across the world, creating a prestigious international platform that celebrated the talent, dedication and future of the global All Star community.

The AIA Global Tournament is the world’s only rotating All Star Cheer & Dance invitational, bringing together teams from different countries and continents in a unique biennial competition. Unlike a traditional end-of-season event, the tournament represents the Global Summit of AIA member-affiliated competitions and provides athletes with the opportunity to compete internationally during the season.

With nearly 30 independent event producers involved, teams from more than 15 countries and athletes representing over 85 qualifying events came together to form this ground-breaking global initiative. The tournament’s mission is to unite the future of All Star cheer and dance while protecting, celebrating and advancing the legacy of the sport.

For Electric Athletics, the event marked an especially proud milestone. As the first AIA Global Tournament ever to take place, EA Charge became the first Electric Athletics team to compete on this prestigious international stage.

Competing in the International Under 16 Level 3 division, EA Charge delivered two strong performances across the competition. The team finished in 1st place on day one, before securing 4th place on day two against talented teams from around the world.

While the competition performances were a major highlight, the trip was about much more than results. The athletes also enjoyed valuable time together away from the competition floor, taking part in team bonding activities, exploring Montreal and making memories that will stay with them long after their return home.

The experience gave EA Charge the opportunity to represent Electric Athletics internationally, experience a new culture and grow together as a team while competing alongside some of the best All Star athletes in the world.

The team represented themselves, their families and our programme brilliantly throughout the trip. To finish 1st on day one and 4th on day two in such a competitive international division was a fantastic achievement, but what made the experience even more special was seeing the athletes grow closer as a team, support one another and embrace every opportunity that Canada had to offer. They created memories and friendships that will last far beyond the competition floor, and we are incredibly proud of every single athlete.”

EA Charge returned home with international competition experience, unforgettable memories and plenty to be proud of. Their journey to Montreal marked a significant moment in Electric Athletics’ history and demonstrated the commitment, teamwork and determination that continue to drive the programme forward.
