Last month, Electric Athletics Midnight proudly represented the UK at the IASF Cheerleading Worlds 2025, held in Orlando, Florida. Competing in the International Open Level 6 Coed division, Midnight went head-to-head with the best cheerleading teams from across the globe in one of the most prestigious cheerleading events in the world.
About the Cheerleading Worlds
Launched in 2004 with just two divisions, the IASF Cheerleading Worlds has grown to feature over 20 divisions, with hundreds of teams competing for the coveted World Champion title. This year’s competition took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from April 25–28, 2025. It included preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds, with teams required to earn a bid at a qualifying event to take part.

Flying out on the Monday before the event, the team spent 10 days in the U.S., combining intense training and cultural experiences. Their time included:
In a tough preliminary round, only the top three teams from each country advanced to the finals. Electric Athletics Midnight qualified in 2nd place during the semi-finals and proudly finished 6th in the world overall — an incredible achievement on the global stage.
