Electric Athletics Hit Zero

This month Electric Athletics took their International Under 16s, Level 2 cheerleading team, EA Strike, over to Atlanta, America, to compete at CHEERSPORT Nationals.

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship is a Worlds Bid event where the stakes are high! Teams from all over the world converge to compete against the best of the best. Production is top notch; venues are spacious, and Atlanta is taken over by cheerleaders. This event features participant gifts, team awards and bids to all of Varsity All Star End-of-Season Championships.

While the Worlds Bid qualifying event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, Friday night of the championship is where this event earns its prestige. Friday Night Live, a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where athletes, coaches and fans team up for St. Jude, has taken place on the Friday night to kick off the CHEERSPORT championship since 2015. With the help and efforts of the top level 6 teams across the country, CHEERSPORT has raised more than $640,000, contributing to Varsity Brands' total amount of $11M raised for St. Jude since 2011.

Head Coach and Program Director Becky Whittle said “I am so proud of each of the athletes who came to Atlanta, whilst we may not of got the results we wanted, the team gave it their all and hit zero, which is amazing. Everyone in team worked together, and it was a privilege to accompany these athletes across the pond.” Established in 2023, Electric Athletics cheerleading aims to provide a positive, safe space, in a fun filled environment for athletes of all ages and abilities from the age of 3 up to adults, across the Northwest.
