Last month both Electric Athletics Midnight and Electric Athletics Twilight competed at IASF Cheerleading Worlds 2024 in Orlando, America.
Electric Athletics Midnight is our International Open Level 5, Coed 4 team. Electric Athletics Twilight is an International Under 18 Level 5 team.
The 'Cheerleading Worlds' championship began in 2004 with two divisions and has grown to include hundreds of teams in more than 20 divisions. Thousands of athletes from across the world compete for the coveted World Champion title.
IASF Cheerleading Worlds 2024 at a Glance
Flying out on the Monday, the two teams and their coaches, spent 10 days exploring America, bonding as a team, and preparing for the competition. During this time, athletes got to experience training with American Cheerleading Program – Stingrays, enjoyed time around the pool and meals out, including attending the traditional Blue, Black and White Party, hosted and arranged by the coaches, and visit a number of attractions such as Magic Kingdom, the aquarium and Disney Springs. During the first rounds, only the top 3 teams from each country can qualify for the finials.
Electric Athletics Midnight qualified in first place on semi finials and placed 6th overall. Whilst Electric Athletics Twilight didn’t qualify for finials, they had an outstanding routine, impressed with their score sheet and were competing against 26 other teams in their divisions. And with a bid already for the 2025 worlds Electric Athletics Twilight are already looking at ways to increase their score sheet for next year.
